Mayhew eagles Junior Qualifier golf tourney

Andrew Mayhew, 11, won the Junior World Qualifier held at NCR Country Club on Monday, June 15. Mayhew captured first place in the 11 & 12-year-old age division shooting even par 70 on the north course. He will be accompanied by his parents and his Aunt Susan Jenkins to San Diego, California to play in the Junior World Tournament. July 12-17. The tournament is held at Torrey Pines.

Andrew also won the U.S. Kids World Championship qualifier held in Cincinnati on Monday, June 22. He shot 78 at Green Crest Golf Club in the 11-year-old age division. He will travel to Pinehurst, North Carolina August 4-8 to play in the U.S. Kid’s World Championship.

Andy will be a sixth grader this year at Harman Elementary School. He is the son of B.J. and Linda Mayhew..

 

Camps, Camps, and more Camps...

Baseball signups at Patterson Park

Patterson Park is now taking registrations for its 2009 autumn baseball leagues. Play will run approximately Aug. 15 thru Saturday, Oct. 10. Leagues for players 9-11 will be on the Little League fields (60 ft. bases) on Irving Avenue, while leagues for 12-14-year-old junior high players (80 ft. bases) and 14-18 year-old high school players (90 ft. bases) will be at the “upstairs” facility off the Stewart Street entrance.

Players age 9 through 14 may obtain registration materials later this week on our website, www.pattersonparkbaseball.org. For questions, please call Jim Murphy at 298-8473.

Girls soccer camp July 13-17

Any girl CURRENTLY in grades first through fifth that would like to attend the
Oakwood Girls Soccer Camp, please be sure to register with Coach Gaydosh by
July 8. The camp will be held July 13-17 from 10 a.m.-12 noon down at Old River
Fields.

Flyers were passed out to all elementary students~ if you have any questions or need a new form, please email Coach Dawn Gaydosh at dawngaydosh@aol.com or feel free to call at 439-0753. This camp promises to be a lot of fun! We hope to see you all this summer!

Oakwood youth football signups

Oakwood Youth Football would like to extend an invitation to enroll in our program. Eligible students are enrolled in third grade through sixth grade in the fall of 2009.
