Jacks ‘Tip Off’ basketball Dec. 4 at UD Arena

The Oakwood boys varsity basketball team will open its season in the Tip Off Classic on Sunday, Dec. 4, at UD Arena. The Dor-Wood Optimist Club sponsors the tournament. Oakwood will play Bishop Fenwick at 1:30 p.m., followed by Alter vs. Springboro at 3:15 p.m., and Chaminade-Julienne vs. Fairmont at 5 p.m. Presale tickets will be available at the Oakwood High School  Athletic Departmetn starting Monday, Nov. 28 to Friday, Dec. 2 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Presale tickets are $3 for students and $6 for adults. The ticket is good for all three games. Tickets at the door will be $10 for students and adults.

In addition, tickets will be on sale for the Oakwood boys basketball home opener on Dec. 9 against Bellbrook. Due to the anticipated large crowd, there is the possibility that this game will be sold out and no tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets will be on sale starting Thursday, Dec. 1 starting at 8 a.m. and will be sold until the game is  sold out.


MVS Cheerleaders to Perform in Lions Halftime Show!

An invitation to perform on Thanksgiving Day in the Detroit Lions Halftime show alongside singer Mariah Carey is being accepted by five excited Miami Valley School varsity cheerleaders. Thursday’s halftime show should start around 2 p.m. (kickoff is at 12:30 p.m.)
