'Runnymeade' - The Talbott Home

2nd annual OSEF Golf Outing (continued)

The event ended with a reception hosted by honorary chair Rob Connelly. Congratulations to the first place winning team from Henny Penny – Steve Cobb, Rob Connelly, Art Harlan and Chris Trout.  Men and women alike shared in closest to the pin and longest drive prizes.  Thanks to each and every golfer who contributed to the success of this event.

The Oakwood Schools Education Foundation exists to provide students with diverse and distinctive opportunities that go above and beyond the reach of the districts’ public funding budget.  One of the ways the Foundation enhances an Oakwood education is by funding teacher and administrative grants.

Examples of past grants include: challenge grant for the Lange School playground, Destination Imagination travel assistance, science labs and materials, smart boards, accelerated reader books, Smith School gazebo challenge grant, publications lab, master teacher expenses, Lego League robots and kits and other items.  The net proceeds from the golf outing will be used to fund grant requests and other Foundation activities.

It was awesome day and the benefit to Oakwood Schools will be evident in continued support from the Oakwood Schools Education Foundation.  Thank you for your contributions to our efforts and please join us next year for our 3rd Annual Golf Outing.  For information or questions, please call 297-5332.

“I have had a wonderful nine-plus-years in Oakwood and   have enjoyed every minute of working with students, staff and parents. However, the opportuni

Dr. Kronour has served the students, staff and community of Oakwood with integrity, expertise, and professionalism. We congratulate him on this achievement and wish him all the best in his new position,” said Dr. Mary Jo Scalzo, superintendent of Oakwood Schools.

“We anticipate that Dr. Kronour will be with us until the first of December and then begin to make the transition to Tipp City. The Oakwood Board of Education and Administrative Team have already had some preliminary discussions regarding Dr. Kronour’s departure and our next steps. More discussion will be forthcoming with staff and community,” Dr. Scalzo said.
