Congratulations to Oakwood girls tennis for an incredible season. The all-area team banquet awarded the Oakwood girls tennis players Team of the Year after finishing first in the area and sixth in the state according to the Coaches’ Poll.

Great job to senior Cara Wald who was voted Player of the Year for her success on the court.  In the four years at Oakwood, Wald has qualified for state every year and finished third in singles as a freshman and sophomore and in doubles with Kristin Cobb as a junior.

All four seniors were named to the first team as well:  Lauren Tramontano, Kaylah Dempsey, Kristin Cobb, and Cara Wald. First year lettermen Kate Berthy and Ellie Rodebeck earned Honorable Mention for the all-area team.

Last, Kim Gilbert was also voted Coach of the Year by her fellow coaches from all over the Miami Valley.  Great job girls!
