The Jacks and Jills swam strong against some tough competition at the Fairmont Invitational meet at the Kettering Rec. Center on Saturday, Dec. 9. Even though no team scores were kept, it is obvious from the results below that the team is continuing to work hard and improve each week.
For the Jills, Ellen Viereckl was second in the 50 Free and third in the 100 Free; Ashley Warwar was third in the 100 I.M. and Liz Whale placed second in the 50 Breast. The 200 Medley Relay team of Gracie Sherk, Liz Whalen, Kristen Cobb and Ellen Viereckl place second.
For the Jacks, Andrew Carpenter placed first in the 100 Free; Michael Neal was second in the 50 Back; Colin Pohlman was first in the 100 I.M. and third in the 50 Breast. The 200 Medley Relay team of Michael Neal, Colin Pohlman, Max Olavarria, and Andrew Carpenter place third, and the 200 Free Relay Team of Pohlman, Neal, Carpenter and Tony Lamb finished first in a very close and exciting race.
