, of Kettering, died suddenly after a brief illness on February 15, 2007 at Kettering Medical Center. He spent 75 years as a man of great kindness and generosity. He truly lived his life devoted to family. His role as beloved patriarch of the Logan family set an example for all those whose lives he touched. Winston Churchill once said “We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.” Ron lived the most wonderful life, always focused on giving his loved ones everything, especially the opportunity to be together. He and his wife, Pat had returned from one of their frequent trips just weeks before his death. He was a vital man who adored his family. His eyes twinkled and his clumsy video camera was always at the ready when everyone was together. His vibrant nature made his death unexpected and he will be missed so very much. He was born in Middletown, Ohio to Flora & Joseph Logan. Ron graduated from Springboro High School, Miami University at Oxford and was a 1958 graduate of the Ohio State College of Law. Ron served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Cambria during the Korean War. He gained real satisfaction from his legal career and was in private practice for almost 50 years. He was honored with the title of Outstanding Young Man of the Year by the Junior Chamber of Commerce in 1963. Later, he was elected president of the Greater Dayton Jaycees. In 1968, Ron was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Ron was a member of Oakwood Kiwanis and served as President of the Bethel School Board in Tipp City where the Logan’s lived on their family farm for 17 years. Ron is survived by his wife of 55 years, Pat; two sons & daughters-in-law, R. Scott & Bobbie Logan of Oakwood, Stuart Logan & Phoebe Schlanger of Washington D.C.; daughter & son-in-law, Alison Logan & John Bremser of Corpus Christi, Texas. He was the perfect “Papaw” to his grandchildren, whose love and admiration know no bounds, Alicia & Paul Monnin of Atlanta, GA, Alex Logan of Oakwood, who is currently attending USC, Henry Logan-Schlanger of Washington D.C. and Brit Ada Bremser of Corpus Christi, TX. He was adored by his three great-grandchildren, Merryn, Jenna Patsy and John Paul Monnin of Atlanta , GA.
