Constance Hanselman
Light Comes Through

20 x 18 in.  oil
Minimum Bid: $125.00
Connie Hanselman is intrigued by the idea of painting something invisible. She uses everyday objects and strives to paint their essence or their transcendence. In Light Comes Through, there seems to be the “Light of Life,” frightening and inviting (John 8:12).

Linda Hart

16 x 20  in.
watercolor on textured clayboard

Inspired from a recent trip to Marco Island, this image captures the essence of the landscape. The parallel patterns, though similar in shape, are greatly varied in composition in each band on each palm tree based on their growth and struggles with their environment.

New consignment shop a class act in West Kettering

There it sits…on South Dixie Drive in West Kettering near W. Schantz Ave, a new, upscale consignment shop that’s filled with a surprising collection of furniture, art and accent pieces for the home.

Consigning and Designing Interiors is a new business to the area that accepts upscale consignment furniture and decorative items for resale. And for those who are looking for a real bargain this is the place to come.

Don’t think of this as your usual consignment shop. It’s anything but ordinary. For one thing, everything in the store is in near-new condition, with a few items actually new and especially purchased for the store. The furniture available for sale spans several styles and eras - traditional, contemporary, retro 50’s, mid-century modern. A few specifics include traditional camelback love seats covered in dramatic large floral pattern, a Corian oval coffee table with brass legs, pillows, sofa tables, bar stools, accent pieces.

The shop is the brainstorm of two women who worked together in the real estate business - Benita Grabeman and Margaret Sierschula. In their real estate business they often “staged” homes that were for sale to give added appeal to potential buyers. After the staging took place, the pieces of furniture and accent pieces they accumulated seemed ripe for reselling. So they began collecting items specifically for sale, set up shop and started their new venture. They have priced everything so attractively you might just want to have your checkbook handy.

The sign for Consigning & Designing Interiors is on the window, so drive by carefully; otherwise you might miss it. It’s located next to the Bead Shop at 2382 S. Dixie Dr. The phone number is 299-2805.
