Colonial Revival on Oakwood Avenue

‘We Love a Parade’ Float Contest May 19

As a part of the ‘That Day in May’ parade on May 19th there will be a neighborhood or group float contest.  All neighborhoods or groups are invited to get together and design a float for the ‘That Day in May’ parade.  The theme this year is “We Love a Parade!”

This year’s float contest is being sponsored by the Oakwood Register.  An exciting first place prize will be a clock or group grill party with meats and other food items from the Pine Club.

Use your creativity and have fun with your neighbors.  Don’t forget to involve your children!  Prizes will be awarded for first and second place.  What a great excuse to get together, be creative and dine on delicious food from the Pine Club.

Line up for the parade  begins around 11:30 a.m. on Shafor Boulevard near Dorothy Lane Market.  If interested in entering the float  contest, please contact Shaun Roberts, 643-0521 or email SRobertsmediator@aol.com.

Entry deadline is May 11, 2007.
