Colonial Revival on Oakwood Avenue

Cleveland Teen Trio to play AIDS benefit at OHS

The Cleveland Teen Trio will be performing Friday night, May 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the Oakwood High School Auditorium.  The free concert will last about an hour and will feature piano trios by Bridge, Schubert and Beethoven, as well as violin, cello and piano solos.

The trio is comprised of two former Oakwood residents, Elisabeth Evans (violin, left) and Erica Evans (cello, right).  They will be joined by pianist Megan Beus (center). The three are giving concerts to raise money to build a school for AIDS Orphans in Kitwe, Zambia.  An estimated 650,000 children have lost a parent to AIDS in Zambia where 20 percent of adults suffer from AIDS/HIV. Midway through the concert a basket will be passed to collect donations.

The trio won first prize in the NEO Chamber Music Invitational in 2007.
