The concert is bring blankets or lawn chairs and a picnic if you like.  In case of rain, the program will be held in the Library Meeting Room. The program is free and open to the public.

Library needs volunteers

Wright Memorial Public Library is again extending its annual book sale to six days this year and needs volunteers to help before, during and after the sale.

Volunteers are needed these days:

Anyone who can help is invited to stop by and complete a Book Sale Volunteer Form, or download the form from the Calendar section of the library’s web site at www.WrightLibrary.org.

The sale will take place in the Library Meeting Room.  There will be a special preview night, Tuesday, Aug. 21, from 4 to 8 p.m.  Preview night prices will be $2 each for hardback books and $1 each for children’s books and all other items.

Regular sale hours will be: Wednesday, Aug. 22, Noon - 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 26, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

During the regular sale hardback books will be $1 each.  Paperbacks, children’s books, videos, CD’s, and all other items will be 50¢ each.  Sunday will be Bargain Day; fill a grocery bag for $2 each.

“New books will be put out every day,” emphasizes Linda Cosgrove, who manages the sale, “so one visit may not be enough!”

Many of the books are donated, while some are old library copies that are no longer needed.  There are thousands of books on all kinds of subjects for both adults and children.  Proceeds benefit the library.
