Sunny, pleasant weather graced Lange School’s annual Work Day, held this year on Saturday, Aug. 18. The Work Day fell during a brief respite from this summer’s achingly hot and dry weather. Rotarians and Lange parents and friends flocked to the school to cut, prune, clip, trim, plant, and mulch. The crew filled a dumpster to overflowing with debris, spread two tons of mulch, repotted mature plants, and planted vivid mums. The grounds of Lange School are now pristine and ready to embrace its new cohort of Kindergarteners and Pre-K students.
After the grounds work concluded, workers, families, and students all enjoyed a hot dog, carrot, and ice pop picnic lunch, amongst introductions, laughter, and anticipation of the upcoming school year.

Oakwood’s commitment to volunteerism in its schools is unparalleled, and Lange’s Work Day embodies this commitment. Thank you, Rotarians and Lange parents and friends for your dedication!
