Dayton Philharmonic Classical Connections: Profile, Leonard Bernstein  8 pm When he wrote Serenade, he got his inspiration from a re-reading of Symposium, Platos celebrated dialogue on the nature of love.  Bernstein wrote Chichester Psalms on commission by the Dean of Chichester Cathedral in Sussex, England, who wanted a new work for a festival featuring three combined cathedral choirs. Director Neal Gittleman details the connections between these two quite different, but thoroughly enjoyable, works.  Schuster Center, One W. Second St., Dayton

Somethings Afoot  8 pm.   A musical spoof that takes a satirical jab at the Agatha Christie murder mysteries.  The play involves a group of ten people who are invited to the lake estate of Lord Dudley Rancour and are stranded at the isolated Engilish country estate during a raging thunderstorm.  When the wealthy lord is found dead, its a race against the clock to find out whodunit. LAF Comedy Tour  8 pm.   Three of todays hottest comedians are coming to Clark State this fall.  Colin Quinn is best known as a cast member of Saturday Night Live and the host of Weekend Update.  Wendy Liebman has been perfecting her stand-up comedy for close to 20 years and is best known for the one-liner with the subliminal afterthought.  Greg Giraldo is one of New York Citys top comedians.  He is socially provocative and broadly funny.  Clark State PAC, 300 S.
