Miami Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will hold its eighth annual Holiday Bazaar and Brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20. The event will take place at the Fellowship building at 8690 Yankee Street, Washington Township. Plenty of off-street parking is available at the site.
Handmade crafts, vendors, used books, white elephant items, bake sale, raffle, breakfast and lunch. Free admission, public is invited.

The Public Health - Dayton & Montgomery County in cooperation with the City of Oakwood will once again offer flu shots Friday, Nov. 2 from 8:45 - 10:45 a.m. at the Oakwood Community Center. The cost is $28 and some insurances are accepted.
Don’t fight the long lines and risk missing your shot this year! Appointments are not necessary. Anyone 18 years of age and older is eligible. Women who are pregnant must bring a prescription from their doctor in order to receive a shot.
Join Mrs. Rose Monday evening at Wright Library for stories, games, songs, and crafts in the Children’s Room. The program starts at 7 p.m. and lasts about forty-five minutes. All ages are welcome, and no registration is required.
Monday, Nov. 12: Celebrate Children’s Book Week! Listen to award-winning books, make a neat craft, and eat a celebrated snack.
Monday, Dec. 10: Poems, Poems, Poems! Listen to poetry and rhymes, make a silly craft, and eat a rhyming snack!

Family 8-on-8 Soccer Tournament, Saturday, Oct. 20. This Round Robin 8-on-8 medium field tournament is open to any Oakwood children in third through sixth grade, and any related adults 18 years of age or older. Grade divisions will be coed. This tournament is limited to 16 teams, and grade divisions may be combined due to low enrollment. Pick up rule packets and rosters sheets upon sign up. Multiple Oakwood families will make up one team. Teams can be all boys, girls, or coed. Team must consist at a minimum of (example) four children in third grade and four adult family members 18 years of age or older. Call the Oakwood Community Center at 298-0775 for more information.
