On Sunday, Oct. 28, the Oakwood United Soccer Club U14 Team captured the Division 1A Championship in the Miami Valley Youth Soccer Association. The team, all students at Oakwood Junior High School, marked the end of an exciting fall season by capturing the first place position in their division.

The 2007 Ohio High School Cross Country season came to an end Saturday at Scioto Downs in Columbus. Oakwood High School was represented by two
runners.
Junior Julia Sizek finished the five kilometer course in 19:21.27 and in 23rd place. By virtue of the top twenty-five finish Sizek earned All-Ohio Cross Country Athlete honors In his first run at Scioto Downs, sophomore Peter Hix finished the five kilometer course in 16:41.11 and in 38th place. Both Sizek and Hix received the Academic All-Ohio award.
The entire cross country team wishes to thank coaches Bryan Ammer and Holly DeHaven, as well as their fans and parents for their encouragement and support during the 2007 season..
Now midway through the 2007 fall season, rowers from Greater Dayton Rowing Association have won medals in all three of their regattas—beginning with the Charlie Doyle Memorial Regatta in Dayton and following through with the Columbus Crew Classic on October 13th and the Head of the Eagle in Indianapolis on October 20th. High school and adult rowers have been competing in both sculling and sweep rowing events.
