There will be a Celebration of Life for Patsy J. Logan (Dyer) this Friday, Feb. 12, 2016 at 11a.m. at the Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel.

Patsy J. Logan (Dyer), age 84, formerly of Oakwood, died peacefully Dec.18, 2015 in Washington, DC of complications from surgery. Pat was born July 29, 1931 in Dayton. She was an alum of Fairview H.S. class of 1949, attended Bowling Green Univ. and Antioch College and received her Master's Degree in Archival History. She was a proud member of Kappa Delta Sorority for 65 years. Pat taught elementary school in Columbus and worked for the State of Ohio in Archival History. She found real joy as Coordinator of Volunteers at Dayton Children's Hospital, where she loved and was much loved by her many volunteers. Always the teacher, Pat never lost her interest in books, learning and the world around her. Her favorite pastime was sharing her love of sports with her son Stuart. The two never missed a chance to watch UD Flyer basketball or Ohio State football. She was as excited watching her grandchildren's sports as she was about her trips to the Final Four. Pat's generous nature and big heart were appreciated by many in addition to her family. She was constantly extending herself, her heart and her home to others. There was always room for more at Pat's table. Her gracious ways showed her to truly be as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Ronald G. Logan, her sister Phyllis (Dyer) Garnett and her parents Ada and A.W. Dyer. Pat is survived by her beloved children R. Scott (Bobbie) Logan of Oakwood, Stuart (Phoebe Schlanger) Logan of Washington, D.C., Alison (John Bremser) Logan of Port Aransas, TX ; her adoring grandchildren Alicia (Paul) Monnin of Atlanta, Alex Logan of Los Angeles, Henry Logan- Schlanger of Washington, D.C. and Brit Bremser of TX.; her precious great - grandchildren Merryn, Jenna Patsy and John Paul Monnin along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and good friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel on Friday, Feb. 12, 2016 at 11:00a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to Dayton Children's Hospital Volunteer Services Dept.
