Oakwood youth football signups underway

Oakwood Youth Football would like to extend an invitation to enroll in our program. Eligible students are enrolled in third grade through sixth grade in the fall of 2009. The program offers an excellent opportunity to learn the basic fundamentals of football.

Registrations are underway and the fee is $150. The registration fee after July 15 is $175. All registrations should be mailed to Oakwood Youth Football, Inc. at 82 E. Dixon Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45419. Baseball signups at Patterson Park

Patterson Park is now taking registrations for its 2009 autumn baseball leagues. Play will run approximately Aug. 15 thru Saturday, Oct. 10. Leagues for players 9-11 will be on the Little League fields (60 ft. bases) on Irving Avenue, while leagues for 12-14-year-old junior high players (80 ft. bases) and 14-18 year-old high school players (90 ft. bases) will be at the “upstairs” facility off the Stewart Street entrance.

Players age 9 through 14 may obtain registration materials later this week on our website, For questions, please call Jim Murphy at 298-8473.

Girls soccer camp July 13-17

Any girl CURRENTLY in grades first through fifth that would like to attend the
Oakwood Girls Soccer Camp, please be sure to register with Coach Gaydosh by
July 8. The camp will be held July 13-17 from 10 a.m.-12 noon down at Old River

OCC Basketball Camp

This camp is designed for Boys and Girls entering 3-5 grades and 6-8 grades. Adam Woessner, an Oakwood High School assistant basketball coach, has planned a series of fun basketball challenges and drills. Also, this camp will be held at Orchardly Park. Sign up today!

OCC Soccer Camp
July 27 - July 31

Bill Sellers, former OHS Men’s Varsity coach and current Oakwood United trainer, along with former OHS varsity players and current college players have designed an exciting soccer camp for boys and girls grades 2-6. This camp will challenge the recreational soccer player as well as the select player. Ball handling, dibbling, trapping, and first touch are just some of the skills planned. Each camper will receive a shirt.
